Counseling Appointments
STEM Pathway Counseling
STEM Pathway counselors are available to help you achieve your goals! STEM counseling is for students who plan to major in a STEM field such as Biology, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Physics, Math, and/or are interested in continuing on to a professional program such as Medical, Dental, Pharmacy or Veterinary School.
All STEM Pathway students should start by seeing a STEM Counselor.

STEM Counseling Appointments:
STEM Counseling appointments are offered in person (in the STEM Center, 3906) or virtually via Zoom.
Schedule an appointment with a STEM Counselor to:
- Discuss your academic, transfer, and career goals
- Review transfer and AS/AS-T requirements
- Develop a Comprehensive Student Education Plan (SEP), which will map out which courses you need to take each semester until graduation and/or transfer (we recommend you do this within your first year at Chabot)
- Review transcripts from prior colleges/universities, or Advanced Placement (AP) scores
- Complete Counseling forms (such as: excess units, prerequisite overrides, course repeat petitions etc.)
- Get connected with STEM Resources (tutoring, research/internship and scholarship information) and STEM Support Programs, such as the MESA Program
To schedule your STEM Counseling appointment, please email Mary Love, STEM Center Senior Instructional Assistant (mlove@ngskmc-eis.net), with your Name, W#, Major, phone number, availability, and if you prefer a virtual or in-person appointment.
STEM First Semester Planning Sessions (FSPS)
STEM First Semester Planning sessions are for new, incoming, first-time in college students planning to pursue a STEM Pathway major. A STEM FSPS will help you plan out your first semester of classes and get you connected with STEM Pathway supports and resources.
*Note - If you have previously attended another college or are a continuing Chabot student, we recommend you schedule an individual STEM Counseling appointment (see above) instead.
